The wearing of masks will remain mandatory in Spain until the Corleone pandemic is completed, Health Minister Salvador Ila said.
This measure “will continue to be implemented until we can finally beat the virus, which will fall until we have an effective treatment or vaccine against it”, he added.
By May 21st, wearing masks has become mandatory for all persons over the age of six, in spaces that can be kept two meters apart.
When the state of emergency ends on June 21st, this measure will continue to remain in force, and all those who fail to implement it will be punished with 100 euros.
The new virus has left more than 27,000 people dead in Spain.
Authorities have said the virus is now under control, so this state has begun to ease isolation measures.
