South Korea has been a success story in confronting Avid-19, but is now expected to continue for several months.
South Korean Center for Disease Control Director Jung Eun-kyeong has said the first phase lasted until April.
Since May, however, there have been waves of new cases, including outbreaks of the virus in nightclubs in capital Seoul, broadcast the Kosovo Clan.
Between these two periods of time, the number of confirmed cases has dropped from almost 1,000 to zero infections recorded for three days.
Officials during the day said 17 new infections have been recorded during the last 24 hours.
