Charlotte's police originally posted on Twitter early this morning that a person had died on the scene where the shooting had occurred and others had been injured, but later confirmed the second dead.
Five others reportedly had been shot by cars on the street after shooting guns, followed by Periscope from Time.
Police responding to a call on a shot leg found hundreds of people on the street. The police official reporting on the case said there was evidence of several different shooters.
It was not immediately clear whether any of them had been caught by the police. /Periscope
