Progress in Efforts to Find a Treatment for Individual-19

The Voice of America reports that researchers in Sweden are optimistic about their work on a treatment that can slow down the progress of the disease, alleviate symptoms, and save lives.

Tyson can become the world's most famous lady. Researchers at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm have immuneed the protein of the Coronobrianus and small isolated antibodies known as nanotrupas in its blood.

Antibodies are proteins produced by the human immune system when it feels that the body is infected with a virus or another foreign organ. Proteins then try to kill him.

Nanotruses are much smaller than human antibodies. Nanobodies attach to the same part of the virus, where human antibodies are attached.

Gerald McInerney is one of the scientists working on this project.

These are the antibodies that we've got from the blood cells of the wash, and we can see that they're attached to the surface, exactly to the point that viral protein has to be introduced into the cells. And so this gives us a structural sense of how these antibodies work to stop infection”, He says.

McInerney says the results will be published within months.

This effort could lead to the production of a drug that could help reduce the strain of the virus in a patient's blood as the immune system develops its response to infection.

All the evidence suggests that it would work very well on people, but it's a very complex system, so we're looking forward to starting those” experiments, Says Mr. McInerney.

It may take years to produce a vaccine, so scientists at the Karolinska Institute have focused on finding a way to treat coronary.

This would help prevent pandemics as efforts continue to produce a vaccine that offers long - term immunity.
