Pristina airport is waiting for the Government's opening decision, these are measures to be implemented

There is still no official date when flights will be allowed at Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari”, while there are over 700 thousand travelers who have not been able to travel due to the coronary pandemic.

This airport's spokeswoman Valentina Gara said she believes that very soon the government will allow flights.

With the permission of arriving flights, we will be fully operational, I believe the airport will soon open”, Gara said at a news conference.

She announced that during this time there are over 700 thousand travelers who have been unable to travel because of the pandemic, while there is interest from companies in restarting flights, which have been suspended due to COVID-19.

Until now 700 thousand travelers have been unable to carry out their travels. Because of the decision to cut off circulation, we had few flights. Now we wait for the government to make a decision to allow them. There are many companies that have expressed readiness to operate”, Gara said.

She has also talked about the measures the airport has taken against the spread of COVID-19.

“will be measured for all travelers. It'll keep social distance where we put the signs. Travelers will not be allowed without masks on the terminal. Their luggage will be disinfected. We are waiting for a green light to start operating”, Gara said.

At this media conference, it also became known that during the pandemic period, there has been no escape from workers and that the same day they received full wages.
