The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, has said that Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has withdrawn from ideas about exchange of territories with Serbia.
The one on show D. E SKU of KTV has said that at a meeting with him, it has become clear that the LDK will not enter dialogue in which it is discussed territories.
Mustafa has added that such statements by Thaci have been distressing in the past, and the same had prompted the LDK to support former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj in the 100 per cent fee idea for Serbian goods.
As far as Thaci is concerned, I say he is attracted by the dictionary for painful compromises. He no longer speaks of Presevo, Bujanovac, and the possibility of uniting those municipalities because it is clear that their union would not only happen unilaterally. It is very logical that Serbia does not enter into dialogue to forgive our territory. I think maybe it's not publicly withdrawn, but in reality it is. I've had conversations with him and clarified the position of the LDK and made it clear that we don't enter into dialogue in any form in which it will be discussed in exchange of territories no matter what change of borders he will be, because this brings us back before declaring independence”, he said.
Mustafa has said Kosovo- Serbia should not be linked to Thaci's and Prime Minister Hoti's figure, but with the whole Parliament -- according to him, the agreement should be acceptable to all citizens, but also to the opposition.
Speaking of the role of the US and the EU in this process, meanwhile, he has declared that dialogue will not develop on two tracks, as according to him neither side can advance dialogue without the other side.
And for the June 27th meeting, which will be held in Washington, Mustafa has said it is not yet known what concrete it will have.
Mustafa has added that at the meeting he had with US special envoy Richard Greene, he has announced that the US is not in exchange for territories.
It has expressed that dialogue is aimed at co-operation and economic development of both countries. I think the dialogue process will not start in Washington with serious themes, but with attractive themes for both sides, such as economic co-operation, economic development and such topics”, he has said.
Meanwhile, at the meeting with EU envoy Miroslav Lajcak, he says he has made it known that the LDK's position is to have the EU in the dialogue, but to be with the US.
