A group of society organizations have come to various points in the capital today to distribute free masks.
That is what they said they are doing in order to raise the citizen awareness of mask use at this time when positive cases with Ovid-19 are marking growth.
CaviKos, the network of civil society organisations, has launched an online campaign on this issue through which to offer ideas to citizens how to create masks and how to use them.
Dardan Kryeziu, manager in CaviKos, said they see the situation created in Kosovo as freely walking without protective means, which has contributed to the growing number of cases with COVID-19.
This is a voluntary action we've undertaken as a civil society and we've thought that our role as a civil society is to try to increase the awareness of the citizens' use of masks, and we think it's very necessary to see that citizens in closed environments are not particularly using masks, such as urban buses, supermarkets, different malls”, he said.
This activity precedes the online campaign in which awareness videos, calls for use of masks and videos on how to make masks under house conditions will be posted.
Otherwise, Kosovo yesterday has registered 129 new cases with coronarys on the worst day for the country since the beginning of the pandemic in March.
