The incumbent Kosovo government has decided from today to open nests, shopping centres, cafes, gastronomy sector and land borders.
Acting Health Minister Arben Vitita said that the third phase of easing measures from today begins, which were taken to prevent the spread of the David-19 pandemic.
Today's “will open public and private garden nests for ages 0-5. The Republic of Kosovo's main land borders will be opened, while after a week the assessment will be made for the possibility of opening even air borders. The entire gastronomial sector and similar services will open up, shopping centres. All public officials at all levels of institutions will return to work. All drug activities will be opened and taxi activity will begin. Of course all these activities are possible only with the conservative measures of the IKSEP's recommendations and the Health Ministry”, Vitita said.
Immediately, the mayor of the Pristina municipality, Shpend Ahmeti, Obilic's Giafer Gashi, and the chairman of Drenas, Ramiz Ladrovci, have announced that day the nests will not be opened because there are no official reports of how they act during this stage.
Vitita announced that nine-graders will return to school, as well as the arrival test will be organised on June 23rd and the senior one on 4th.
Under the government's new decision in office, no truck from Serbia can enter Kosovo unless the name “Republic of Kosovo is in documents. Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti said making this decision is not political tactic, but countering Serbia.
Acting Health Minister Arben Vitita at this news conference has also declared that Kosovo has been the most endangered in the region since March 13th by David-19. As he said, the health sector was found in poor conditions to protect itself from the coronary.
He stated that the danger, despite the easing of the measures, has not passed and that citizens must continue to defend themselves.
Meanwhile, 13 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Kosovo and two cured.
