Kosovo's Statistics Agency has published the results of the survey of agricultural economies for 2019, where the exploited area of agricultural land was 420 141.05 hectares in Kosovo, most of it belongs to meadows and grasslands by 51.9%; arable land, where fields participate by 44.8%, multi-year-old trees, vineyards, ferns with 3.0%; and gardens with 0.3%.
According to the AKS, this publication provides data on agricultural land exploitation, agricultural cultures, livestock and livestock products, agricultural inputs (orterics, organics, pesticides), labor power in agriculture and spending on agricultural economies.
“from a total of arable land plant (8 364.69 ha), the majority is of cereals 124 198.96 ha (65.9%); ground forage plants with 37 496.72 ha (19.9%); vegetables total (in open fields, greenhouses, and gardens) are 958.80 ha, out of which vegetables in the open field and other crops are 836.68 ha (87% potatoes). 688.19 ha. %0; leg; 27; ha.1% industrial plants (40% ha.22%). Watered surface, at least once during the reference period, is 31899.99 ha. The total area covered by pesticides, on the other hand, was 1950,93 ha. According to AEB 2019, the number of cattle was 257 733; the sheep's number was 189 102; of goats was 27 197; of pigs was 40 538; of the same heads (cuunds, mules, donkeys) was 203; of birds (pula, cura, duck and duck) was 2,662; and the total number of bees ' hives was 219 831. Through the Agricultural Economics Survey, data on agricultural work has been collected, depending on their commitment to production, full - time, partial (again and again). According to AEB 2019, the total number of people engaged in agriculture in Kosovo was 270 181 people. Their total contribution to agricultural work was 8256,98 Annual Work Unit ( (NEPV) (where 1 NEP is equal to 800 hours of work per year /225 working days/from eight hours a day”, the communique says.
The methodology and standards applied at AEB 2019 (definitions ʹ definitions, questionnaire, and guide), ASK says they are harmonised with Eurostat recommendations.
