He was kidnapped, bound, and raped for eight hours, and the young shows the horror he experienced

Kalliny Travisan, 19, has shown how she survived the eight-hour kidnapping and sexual abuse committed by a 37-year-old bricklayer.

She was kidnapped, raped, and brutally beaten by the man who almost killed her life in an attempt to kill her.

Kalliny has told the media that she chose to speak publicly because she wants her experience of encouraging other girls to talk about experiences of sexual abuse or other forms of aggression.

The young woman was ready to enter her workplace in a pharmaceutical laboratory in Cotia, the Greater Sao Paulo, when she was caught under knife threat about 8am, June 1st.

Police used cameras set up for traffic monitoring and signals from her cell phone to follow the road driven by her assailant, called José Wilker dos Santos, a 37-year-old bricklayer.

The aggressor tied his hands and legs with a rope, a chain around his neck, and covered his head with a rag inside his car, a gray Chevrolet Maryva.

She said:

Cases like mine happen every day and I want women and other girls who have gone through the same situation dare report it and find the strength to go on. I want to show that rape and assault on women are a real problem in our society.
