Children's Day is marked on June 1, worldwide, since the World Children's Management Conference in Geneva was held on this date in 1925.
On the same day, it happened that the Chinese consul general in San Francisco brought together a considerable number of Chinese orphan children to celebrate at the “Dragon Alliance festival”.
Two years later June 1st began to be celebrated worldwide.
On the occasion of International Children's Day, The KMF will publish today's monitoring report “My Community, My Social Rights”.
According to the KOMF, the report reflects the serious state of social services in seven Kosovo municipalities, offers findings and recommendations related to financing, planning and management of services, accountability, responsibilities sharing, monitoring and inspection.
Also launched will be the KOMF campaign “My Community, My Social Rights”, which will be part of the events for the June 1st issue, International Children's Day.
This activity is enabled under the project “Joint Action for Decentralisation”, a project funded by the EU and managed by the EU Office in Kosovo, implemented by the Coalition of NGOs for Children's Protection in Kosovo KMF in partnership with the Association for Parentless Children APUE, SOS Children's Villages Kosovo and KMOP.
