Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Enver Hoxhaj has addressed criticism of Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, saying that his going to Brussels before Saturday's meeting at the White House could be a mistake that could bring consequences, as he put it, geopolitical.
In the intervention in the Kosovo Assembly, Enver Hoxhaj said Prime Minister Hoti is going to Washington unprepared and without topic of discussion.
I was surprised to see him go to Brussels before his visit to Washington. All the international attention is what happens between Kosovo and Serbia in Washington. When you go to Washington, they may ask what was said in Brussels. Do you know that when you have a publicly declared visit to the main partner, it does not make this mistake to say that I am going to Brussels and then from them to Washington. Vucinq is going to Moscow and from Moscow is going to Washington. It's quite a mistake, to make a protocol mistake with geopolitical consequences, at least with a sense of how it happened in Brussels, that they are the center of the world and our main partner,”, Hoxhaj said.
He did not fail to mention once again that Albin Kurti's government for 50 days has twice violated the Constitution, while this strategy is continuing by the government of Hoti violating the Declaration of Independence.
The VV colleagues have set a new standard because in 50 days they violated the Constitution twice, and this government in two weeks violated the Declaration of Independence. I intend to quote the Declaration of Independence, point 8. The Declaration of Independence has 12 articles, paragraphs, points, 8th point says: With independence the task of general membership is imposed in the international community, we fully accept this task. On the government's pledge, you have given up this paragraph of Independence. The mayor is also saying point 9, I agree on point 9”, Hoxhaj said.
He has criticised the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement for removing the reciprocity and tax measure, which was imposed due to the withdrawal of recognitions for Kosovo, thus making concessions for Serbia's false pledges.
“You colleagues, VV and LDK, have removed the fee and reciprocity, and you have given up candidacy in international organisations, made concessions for Serbia's half false pledge”, he said.
