Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, through a Facebook post, has said that if this pace of increased contact with COVID-19 will return total isolation measures.
“Rests with COVID-19 are growing very much. At this rate, the Infectious Clinic will soon be blocked, and then our doctors will face difficult moral decisions on who should be helped first. We have seen those scenes in places that experienced this pandemic very hard. We cannot allow such situations to arise. If this pace continues, we will be forced to return the total isolation measures, which will have serious consequences for our economy and families”, Hoti wrote.
He has added that protection measures are simple: (1) masks, (2) physical distances, and (3) washing hands.
That's all it takes to save itself, our children, our parents, but even our coworkers at the workplace, our fellow passengers on the bus and taxi, or the person next to the next table at the” restaurant, he wrote.
Hoti adds that the Ministry of Health and I KSHP has prepared the manual for measures for protection from COVID-19, which is mandatory.
According to him, it is the head of the public institution (the minister, municipality, public companies, agencies, etc.) and business owner (in production, restaurant, services, transport, etc.) to make sure the measures are taken according to this manual.
The “Do not meet these measures endanger citizens' health and, therefore, is punishable. There will be no tolerance for anyone who violates these rules. We can't afford to be a society because of the irresponsibilities of institutions or businesses that don't take adequate security measures”, Hoti wrote.
