Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has declared that dialogue with Serbia will be directed by him.
Asked about the fact that figuratively there could be a clash of angels, implying a war between him and President Hashim Thaci, Hoti said this would not happen.
According to him, everyone will respect what the Constitution knows.
You will never see any kind of confrontation between institutions, for the simple reason that our constitutional competencies are clear as to dialogue. And an act of the Constitutional Court makes clear the authorisation of the president and prime minister for the dialogue. As long as everyone remains within constitutional competencies, I don't believe there will be clashes for the heads of institutions. I will apply the competencies that Constitution” gave me, said Hoti at “Real Story”.
“I will allow no one to cross that border. I don't want to and couldn't do it. I have no right to delegate my responsibilities to someone else. What we have done in recent days, we have reconfirmed our positions for dialogue. Kosovo citizens have not heard anything new, except a structured approach. We have sworn our principles. I have no mandate to negotiate Kosovo's territorial integrity, and the agreement must be in respect of the Constitution. I as prime minister will announce the political forum for dialogue on a regular basis. I will establish an expert council near the prime minister's office, in particular persons who have participated in negotiating levels”, Hoti said.
