Health Ministry: News that we have stopped contact testing is false

For fair public information, Kosovo's National Public Health Institute and the Committee on Monitoring Influencing Health Ministry Diseases, based on O'S recommendations The new lab testing and retesting strategy for ECDC (day 27 May 2020) has recommended the update of the testing and re-testing strategy for SARS-CoV-2, also determining the laboratory testing for COVID-19 under certain criteria:

Patients with acute respiration infection (the sudden beginning of the disease with at least one of these signs and symptoms: coughs, fever, breathing,) or sudden display of anosmia (nose loss), ageuia (skinting), or radiological imaging showing compatible lesions with COVID-19;

Travel history or residence in a country/zone where there were cases or expansions in the community during 14 days before symptoms began;

Close contact with case confirmed or possible COVID-19 in the last 14 days before symptoms begin;

Someone who wants hospitalization;

The resident, or member of the staff, at a residential institution for sensitive persons on 14 days before symptoms began.

So, starting with the above-mentioned criteria are recommended for testing:

All hospitalised cases at the Infectious Clinic and wards dedicated to patients with COVID-19;

Patients in Pulmology departments and Primary Health Care with severe respiratory infections;

Health personnel with signs and symptoms of infection as well as personnel who have had close and vulnerable contact with confirmed SARS individuals CoV-2?

Close contacts of the 19-positive person, who have symptoms and symptoms of COVID-19;

Older persons and chronically ill people (invasive lung disease, cancer, heart failure, cerbrovascular disease, renal disease, liver disease, hypertension, diabetes, and immumpromitative state) that have signs of acute respiratory infection;

All suspected cases of clinical signs in SARI in the community or closed institutions (schools, hospitals, homes of elders, prisons);

Citizens of Kosovo who travel abroad for medical treatment must have medical documentation attended if testing by the state in which they travel is required.

No asimtomatics are tested, but 14 dietary properties are directed, as well as personal monitoring of the state of health, and in case the symptoms appear, seek medical assistance immediately.

The aforementioned recommendations will be considered by the Committee for Monitoring infectious diseases to become part of the up-to-date testing and re-testing strategy for David-19.
