Haskuka says Hoti government will not bring any good to Kosovo, warns protests

Vetevendosje Movement Headship member Mytaher Haskuka has said that the Hoti government will not benefit Kosovo, as its work will depend on the Serbian List, while warning of its opposition in various forms, not excluding even protests. Haskuka has said this government does not [...]
Haskuka has said that this government does not represent the will of Kosovo citizens expressed in the October 6th,2019 elections.
“in this period of pandemic and all the processes we have Kosovo has needed a government which is based on civic will and does not represent the will of October 6th so it will have the hard work especially since it depends on the Serbian List, and we know that Belgrade never wants good for Kosovo and I don't believe it will be possible to do something useful for Kosovo”, he told Kosovas.
Mythaher Haskuka, who is also mayor of Prizren, said that if the Hoti government made harmful steps for Kosovo, it would face protests and shares by the Vetevendosje Movement.
“We have never done to take power, and the thought has been that in terms of the government vote there is no need for such a vote, but certainly if the current government made harmful steps for Kosovo, whether in terms of corruption or harmful deals against Serbia, we will start political shares or other activities that are envisioned”, he stressed.
The attack on Vetevendosje Movement activist by the president's bodyguards, Hashim Thaci, Haskuka has called it an undemocratic attack, which shows that things in Kosovo are not doing well.
He even said that even civil society dealing with free speech rights has had to organise protests, as freedom of expression is being denied.
A person in the public place until he attacks the person directly, he has no right to attack him. The attack on bodyguards and police escorts shows that things are really out of order here, and we have to have democracy where all citizens feel free and it's really a harmful action”, Haskuka said.
Otherwise, Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti the day before even officially took office. The Hoti government passed on Wednesday to the Kosovo Assembly by 61 votes.
