Students of the ninth grade elementary school “Naim Frajri” in Pristina have returned to school banks today. They've started the supplementary lesson for the next two weeks as preparation for maintaining the destination test.
Educators and students are continuing with masks and gloves, while the physical distance at this school was respected.
This school has 6 parallels of the ninth class, and only three parallels followed today, and three more will continue tomorrow.
The principal of this school, Albanian Vlasalija Mehmed, said they have made all preparations for the resumption of the learning process.
She announced that all teaching recommendations have been respected and that physical distance is being respected.
We've started the additional lesson today with nine-graders, on the basis of recommendations and assistance given to us by the DKA. We have a certain schedule today and on the basis of internal management today, there are only three out of six classes in the ninth grade. The class is divided into two parts, which means half of one class keeps the first hour in another class and the other half with another teacher. Students are equipped with masks and gloves, and there has been also a carpet in which students have disinfected their shoes, disinfected their hands, placed in class”, she said.
Mehmed said that even students have expressed interest in following the lesson, where he said that only one student has been missing from three parallels today.
The lesson focus, according to her, will be the subjects in which the probability test will be held.
Because on the basis of the directive, there's also a change in the achievement test, it's going to be 80 points for students, and there'll be classes and extra learning to be held only in those subjects in which students will be tested. It has been recommended that it be worked in the pre-undemia section, which means that the tasks will be more focused on the part until students are removed from school and passed on to the distance lesson”, she said.
In 9/3 school class “Naim Frasher”, students were holding clocks in Geography class. The teacher of this subject Fatos Ferizaj said they will try to prepare students for the achievement test.
He said that students too are respecting recommendations for preventing the spread of the pandemic COVID-19.
We've started learning today, and the kids have all responded, we've made some preparations even at the entrance to the school even within school, and we're seeing that the children have expressed interest... Just considering that the probability test is June 23rd, in these two weeks we're going to focus more on what they're doing. We'll try to make sure you succeed as best”, he said.
Although in masks and gloves, students have welcomed the resumption of the learning process.
Andrew Hasani students in class 9/3 at school “Naim Frajer”, said these supplementary hours will help prepare for the destination test.
As far as the test is concerned, the work of the pandemic could not have learned so much and it took us these hours to complete and then a better success. Of course it's the crucial test for us and it takes us these hours to learn a little bit more, to commemorate what we've learned”, he said.
As an opportunity to prepare more for the test for the supplementary hours, the student is also seeing Arjera Krasniqi.
I think that the supplementary hours that are being held at school can help us to a certain point, even though it's an extraordinary situation, I hope that we will pass the test”, she said.
Even the Student Jon Ajvazi, students in class 9/2, said that although in extraordinary condition the supplementary hours will help prepare for the test.
I believe that this supplementary teaching will help us a lot, given the situation we are in... I believe it will help us a lot in preparation for the arrival test because we know that the test has only been approaching”, he said.
On March 13th, the Government of Kosovo had closed schools as preventative measures for spreading COVID-19, while online learning has begun on March 23rd.
