G20 countries promise over $21 billion to fight Coronavirus

The G20 Group, with the invited states, has co-ordinated international efforts to support the fight against the Devid-19 pandemic. So far, members of the G20 Group and the invited states have pledged more than $21 billion to support global health financing”, the group's statement said.
These money will be used for diagnosis, vaccines, therapies and research, the paper Express broadcasts.
In April, this group called on all states, nongovernmental organisations, charity groups and the private sector to provide assistance to meet the financial shortages of about eight billion dollars to combat pandemic
Saudi Arabia, which is currently leading the G20 Group, has pledged to donate $500m to the fight against the new disease.
At least 391,000 people have died worldwide from the Devvid-19 disease and over 6.68 million have been infected since December last year, when the first cases were recorded in China.
