The Malisheva municipality is among the municipalities with the largest number of people affected by Covid-19, despite the fact that there is only one active case, the total number of infected is 77 healed and one death case, so the risk is present.
In addition, this municipality is facing the stinging of ticks. The spray has ended in 10 villages of this municipality until it is expected to continue with other villages.
Malisheva Mayor Ragip Begaj is assessing that the situation in this municipality is not good at all, so he asked the central level to keep in mind that the danger comes from both sides.
“Ende are not out of the pandemic, danger still exists, we have had 77 infected by 75 completely healed, a case of death unfortunately, and we have a case close to recovery, I believe Malisevo has done well in this situation after all the care and commitment we have had, as a municipal assembly, I believe we have faced it well”, he said.
Begaj said that the process of disinfecting in the annihilation of the ticks will continue after a break due to the weather.
Kosovo's National Public Health Institute reported on hundreds of cases of tick stinging, but fortunately so far there are no infected.
Begaj said they are being careful by taking all measures.
And we're also dealing with the spraying of the ticks, the fatally bleeding fever that 7 years we haven't had any infection, yet we're all close to care, because we've been through, in 10 villages, spraying has been done, because of time and rains we've stopped and the spraying process continues in other villages. It's a fear of the fact that last winter has been very mild, our attention is maximum, we demand that even the central level take into account the situation that helps, I believe, even in economic cases and bleeding fevers, have to have increased care of Malisheva”, he said.
Malisheva's first one, stressed that the economy in the municipality he leads is very heavy.
In this municipality, even a commission for assessment of damages is expected to be published later.
“For the economic issue, we are not able to afford it ourselves because all those businesses that have ceased for three months will have economic consequences. We have formed a commission to make an analysis of the losses in the economy, how much we have yet to have a regional assessment, yet Malisha as a whole of the country will have economic consequences”, Begaj said.
He added that the central level must draft a programme for the most damaged municipalities, which require greater support.
“We've had continued demands, however deciid requirements, at the economic level as much as not support us, they have to make the programme how much they can support municipalities and what has been most hurt should have greater support”, he said.
