Fatos Lubonja speaks as special prosecutor: Thaci has killed innocent Serbs

Fatos Lubonja, invited to the “Real Story” at “News 24”, speaking of charges against Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselini for war crimes, said former prosecutor Carla del Ponte and other European personalities spoke to them.

Lubonja said Carla Del Ponte in her book also speaks of Hashim Thaci's crimes, adding that Kosovo's president and other influential people are protected from charges because they have important political positions.

He added that it must be acknowledged that in addition to the Albanian killings, there have been murders of Serbs or Albanian murders called traitors in Kosovo, and that for any crime, responsibility is needed.

This story starts with Carla Del Ponte's book. There are conspiracy theories that the U.S. or Europe did it for sabotage.

But what Carla Del Ponte says is the policy that has hampered justice in The Hague, and Hashim Thaci is mentioned.

It says these people have committed crimes, but have political powers that they are prime ministers, presidents.

Kosovo has revolted, even because Albanians were killed at the time, have been deported, etc.

In Kosovo failed U n NMIC, EULEX also failed, while there has been political pressure.100 murders are not few. For every crime someone has to take responsibility.

In that sense, there is a failure of Kosovo that now occurred.

I find that the prosecutor is public now because political interference have hampered justice.

That is because Thaci, who goes into negotiations, is more protected than a powerless Thaci.

We as Albanians urge Serbs to condemn the crimes of Serbs, while all those who committed crimes must be punished.

In that war, there have been crimes against Albanians, but there have been also murders of Albanians, called traitors, who have been expelled Serbs, we do not say these because they have power.

But we have to deal with it. When we need legitimacy, we use Europe, while when Europe threatens us, we criticize”, Lubonja said.

Speaking of Edi Rama's speech given in Parliament on charges directed by Kosovo Special Prosecutor Wessel, Lubonja said Prime Minister Edi Rama used nationalist language

Lubonja stressed that he does not understand what Rama is at stake, since he has spoken otherwise when Haradinaj is accused of crimes and war and otherwise speaks now

He further stressed that Rama's speech, among other things, harms Albania.

The idea of a Balkans where national hatreds are overcome, where culture becomes more exchanged, I believe this should be the case

So do negotiations. Rama's speech was aggressive toward the court.

Rama's statement has been contradictory, opposing Europe and the US, but also the vision we have with justice.

Looks like there's a big problem I don't understand.

When Haradinaj was called, he said it is a personal challenge.

Rama let Haradinaj go to this court, and now he accuses the court very savagely.

The question I raise is what's wrong with him? I think it hurts Albania.

How can you accuse a court that has been set up for war crimes in such a harsh manner with nationalism?

Whether Thaci and Veselin are missing or not, Rama's 1,000 missing must reflect on it.
