Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has been conducting a telephone conversation with Sean Caircross, executive chief of Milenium Challenge Corporation (MCC), which he has been thanking for unlocking funds and continuing assistance to Kosovo in boosting economic development through various programmes.
Hoti has estimated that it is good news for Kosovo to unblock funds from Milenium Challenge Corporation (MCC), saying that co-operation and special relations with the United States are of vital importance to Kosovo.
Prime Minister Hoti said the Government is working committed to sustainable economic development, efficient management of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as creating a favourable climate for businesses in Kosovo.
While Sean Caircross, chief executive chief of the MCC, has praised the steps taken by the Hoti Government, which have enabled unlocking funds for Kosovo.
The MCC had blocked its investments in Kosovo following Kurti Government's refusal to lift the tax on Serbian goods.
The US government has reactivated the MCC programme on 6 June, following the decision of the new government Hoti to lift reciprocity measures against Serbia.
