The “Ide is to possibly have a first list of 50 countries that have brought the epidemic under control and because of which we do not risk the health safety of the French, Europeans”, he added.
EU external borders and Schengen space, closed since 17 March to fight against the spread of the new coronary, are expected to gradually reopen starting on 1 July. Borders within Europe have opened mainly since June 15th.
The list of countries will be placed on the basis of very objective epidemiological data, such as the level of incidence (the number of new cases for 100,000 people) and reactalize every two weeks “, Jean-Basitist Lemoyne underlined.
He did not stress whether major destinations like the US and Canada will be part of this first list/ AFP.
