Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, on his farewell visit to the Mexican ambassador to Belgrade, also cited Kosovo.
He thanked Marco Antonio Garcia Blanco, who will soon complete his mandate in Belgrade, that his state continues not to recognise Kosovo as a state, Klan Kosova reports.
Dacic stressed the stability of Mexico when it comes to respecting fundamental principles of international law and reiterated his sincere gratitude for the support of Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, Tanjug writes.
President Donald Trump's emissary for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Green, said Serbia would stop the campaign against Kosovo's independence to hold a meeting at the White House with representatives of the two states on 27 June.
Great news! I have taken the pledge by the government of Kosovo and Serbia to temporarily stop the campaign of recognitions and that they will seek international membership so that we can meet in Washington, the White House, on June 27th for discussions on dialogue”, Greenell wrote on June 15th.
A violation of Dacic's vow even did so with Algeria, who thanked him for not recognising Kosovo.
To that end, Kosovo Assembly Speaker Vjosa Osmani had reacted, saying that this is Serbia's true face, which said it would stop the Kosovo recognition campaign.
