From today, with the removal of reciprocity measures against Serbia, goods could enter Kosovo even without referring to Kosovo as the republic.
The decision that has been made in the Government of Kosovo today has immediately been sent to Dogan, so the mouse from Serbia can make their way towards Kosovo without obstacles imposed by the government.
The customs officer from Merdara, Bardh Varaku, told Kosovo that even though the decision has yet to take effect no Serbian truck has so far.
“Today we have made the decision that Serbian goods can enter Kosovo even if they write the Republic of Kosovo as it used to be. We haven't had any circulation yet, but we expect to have”.
“We will continue the work as it was before tax and reciprocity. The goods that come in will refer to Kosovo on the basis of Kosovo's legislation in power and is not allowed to use offensive terms”.
Until two days ago, 20 Serb trucks came to Kosovo referring to the Republic of Kosovo, while another 13 were returned in absence of implementing the decision.
