Today 21 years later at Kacanik's Kotlin, one of the worst massacres of the recent war committed by Serbian forces against Kosovars.
The family members who lost loved ones are still alert to the terrifying moments of their day.
And this massacre is remembered by the mother of Hanife Locke, whose son was killed that day.
There were broken arms in the bunker, broken legs.
There were also those who escaped the massacre, but the inhabitants relate how 22 people were killed at once.
Thirty martyrs were recorded in this village of Kachanik, 16 of whom were civilian victims.
