Lumez has congratulated Selimi on the new task, as well as has announced the operation, work and the current achievements of the State Prosecutor, the progress achieved in targeted cases, such as the challenges facing this institution, Kosovo reports
The chief state prosecutor has also talked about the permanent reforms that have occurred and continue to occur in this institution, thus affecting the growth of efficiency, performance, accountability and integrity of the prosecutorial system. Consequently, under these reforms, Chief Prosecutor Lumez has stressed that the process of profiling prosecutors has already begun, affecting the advance of prosecutorial work.
Meanwhile, the justice minister has declared that his priority will be meeting the government's justice programme, preparing bills related to the fight against corruption, including all of its members in the process as property, functional review of the rule of law sector under the 2020 Justice Project, and willingness to assist and support the institutions of justice.
At the end of the meeting, the two conversationators have expressed mutual readiness for advancing inter-institutional co-operation, with the aim of consolidating justice institutions and strengthening the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
