The coronary virus's pandemic is in a dangerous new “phasis”, World Health Organization officials said today, as the virus continues to spread at large at the time when most countries are easing measures.
Thursday brought 150,000 new cases of the virus that is causing Covid-19, the highest figure since the beginning of the pandemic, according to WHO.
“Bota is in a new and dangerous phase,” said the head of the United Nations body, Tedros Adhanom Ghebrreesus, at a virtual conference in Geneva.
“Virus is still spreading fast, he is still deadly and most people are still sensitive to him”, Ghebrasus added further.
The head of the international organisation called for maintaining social distance and high alert.
During yesterday's day, Dr Hans Kloge, the European regional director, said that the second wave of coronarys could erupt during autumn. /
