ASC shows number of students at Kosovo universities

This publication provides statistical information for pre-school, primary and lower education, higher education, special education, and statistical information on university education for the public and private sector.
According to results released by this publication, the number of children in the nursery and pre-schools was 33 604, of them in the public sector 26 385 children, or 78.5%; while in the private sector 7 219 children, or 21.5%.
The number of students in primary and lower secondary education was 2379, of them in the public sector was 232 707, or 95.6%; while in the private sector there were 525, or 1.6%.
The number of students in higher education was 79 264, of them in the public sector were 7584 students, or 95.6%; while in the private sector there were 3 480 students, or 4.4%.
The total number of students in special education, however, was 349 students.
The total number of students in university education was 73 604, of them at public universities was 58 879 students, or 80.0%; while in private colleges there were 14 725 students, or 20.0%.
