Albania publishes number of new cases with COVID-19, another victim

While the victim, the ministry reports, there is a 69-year-old patient from Kruja with acute leukemia, has passed away at the infectious hospital, affected by Ovid19. Our country now numbers 42 victims from the former-19.

Dr. Eugene Tomini of the Public Health Institute gave details:

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses all citizens and businesses to be careful in implementing security protocols. Inspectorate and Task Force on the ground follow intensive controls in the subjects, but it needs business and citizens co-operation to abide by the rules to limit the spread of COVID19.

It is also very important that not only people confirmed with slight or asmptomatic signs but also those who have doubts about being touched or waiting for the test to respond should remain isolated at home, as they are the source of the infection.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informs you of the epidemiological situation in the country. Over the last 24 hours, 330 tests have been conducted for suspects allegedly affected by Covid19, of which 50 vetoative cases have been confirmed, mainly new cases, as well as contacts of previously confirmed positive cases.
The good news is that the last 24 hours have healed 28 citizens, bringing the number of cured since the beginning of the epidemic to 1114.
The geographical distribution of positive IDs in the last 24 hours is as follows: 17 cases in Tirana, 6 in Kruja, 5 in Lezha, out of 4 cases in Shkodra, Durres, Fier, 3 in Korce, 2 cases in Vlora and Elbasan, and 1, respectively, in Kurbin, Mirdita and Saranda,
A 69-year-old patient from Kruja with acute leukemia has passed away at the infectious hospital, affected by Covid19. Despite ten-day intensive treatment and medical staff efforts, it failed to survive. The Health Ministry expresses condolences to the deceased's family.
In the last 24 hours, there's an increase in seating at the infectious hospital. Currently, 64 patients are receiving service, 7 are in intensive therapy, while 1 is assembled.
In our country there are currently 682 active people with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Kruje.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to all citizens and businesses: Please obey the rules. The only way to prevent the spread of the infection is to keep the 1.5m physical distance from each other by maintaining personal hygiene and washing your hands constantly, wear masks wherever the environment is closed, businesses and institutions respect the specified protocols.
We remember once again that each case identified as positive should be self - satisfied and that breaking the rules by everyone will be considered a danger to the lives and health of others.
The Ministry of Health is closely co-operating with the State Police not to allow any positive person to break the rule by leaving quarantine until complete recovery.
Citizens should avoid mass gatherings as sources of infection, avoid mortary ceremonies, and visit relatives for any kind of reason.
Families of hospital patients avoid as many visits as possible, older ones who are able to avoid contact in health centers but to contact their family doctor for rebaptious drugs.
