Kosovo's Statistics Agency has published short-term industrial statistics, presenting the industrial volume index for the first three months of this year, which reportedly compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, the increase has been in the power supply sector, gas, steam and air conditioning at 2.79%. Meanwhile, the decrease was in the extraction industry sector by 32.27%, the processing industry sector of 33.73%; the water supply sector, management and waste management activities by 11.39%.
According to the AKS, this survey, with the data it offers, aims to present the performance in the mining industry, processing, power supply, gas, steam and air conditioning, and water supply, management and waste management activities, in three-month periods, through which the development of the industry is understood.
“In the first quarter of 2020, compared to the fourth quarter 2019, growth has taken place in the power supply sector, gas, steam and air conditioning, by 2.79%. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in: the extraction industry sector by 32.27%; the processing industry sector with 33.73%; the water supply sector, management and waste management activities by 11.39%. Compared TM1 2020 with the same quarter of the preliminary year (TM1 2019), there has been growth in: the extraction industry sector by 38.53%; the power supply sector, gas and air conditioning by 3.67%; the processing industry sector with 2.14%. While the decrease was in the water supply sector, waste management activities with 2,00%”, the communiques said.
