The National Emergency Management Agency has warned that coastal areas can suffer strong and unusual currents and unpredictable offshore expansions.
According to GeoNet, nearly 9,000 people have felt the quake until it comes only a few days after an earthquake felt in place Tuesday.
Tourists have also been alarmed at a potential tsunami in this country.
