In Albania, the number of people affected by COVID-19 has increased, causing coronary. According to the Health Ministry, 36 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours, record numbers since the spread of pandemic.
Silva Bino from the Institute of Public Health said that massive gatherings and disrespect of measures have become the cause for increasing the number of affected.
The COVID-19 situation has deteriorated, the cases have increased, and today we have 36 cases where 27 cases belong to Tirana. This situation was not so unexpected because of mass gatherings that took place in recent days. Not only do the gatherings, but also disrespecting the advice about physical distance, about wearing masks, about many other personal care elements, even hygiene”, Bino said.
Mrs. Bino stressed that this rise in the number of infected came as a result of easing austerity measures imposed for nearly three months in the country.
Until the beginning of the opening of the measures we had a single-sided number, which came as a result of drastic measures, of each one's sacrifice. But that does not mean that by opening measures we abuse every advice and abuse what we self sacrificed”, she said.
The new Coronavirus cases have been marked in Tirana, where 27 people who resulted positive, 4 cases in Shkodra, 2 cases in Kamez, 1 case in Durres, 1 in Lushnje and 1 in Lezha.
All these cases are a manifestation of too many rules. I say again, physical distance or personal or collective responsibility regarding employers or employers. Much of it is contact with positive cases, which shows that field tracking is being carried out powerfully, which will continue and be reinforced in the following weeks”, Bino said.
And what is important to stress today is that we have an increase in cases that are being dealt with near the efficient service, which are 41 cases and out of which 6 are in intensive therapy and 2 ingathering. All of this shows that COVID-19 has not been relieved, it is not a disease that easily passes. Much of the cases which have been identified have clinical signs, and some of them have needed hospitalization”, Bino stressed.
Despite record figures, which have been recorded since the start of the pandemic in Albania, Mrs. Bino said in the last 24 hours, 15 citizens have been healed, bringing the total number of cures to 960.
Currently, as the Albanian Health Ministry suggests, there are 305 active cases across the country.
More than 18,500 tests have been conducted by the beginning of the epidemic and 1,299 cases have been confirmed.
