Japan, China, South Korea, Lebanon, Germany, Iran, Saudi Arabia, El Salvador, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have been forced to restore local quarantines or popular closures, writes the Telegraph”.
Dr. Hans Kluge, director for Europe of the World Health Organization, has warned European states to prepare for a second deadly wave of infection, saying it is now “koha for preparation, not on cream”.
Japan was the first country to face a second wave, following the removal of restrictions in mid-March. On April 12th, the state declared for a second emergency, deciding on school closures, halting large gatherings, and recommending people to stay at home.
