In the Pristina municipality for a week now, cases of people infected with COVID-19 have increased, and currently there are 94 active cases with COVID-19, while results are expected for over 100 samples taken by the Kosovo National Public Health Institute.
The director for Health in the Pristina municipality, Bujar Gashi, has told the Telegrafi that they are waiting for the results of 80 people who have received samples today and some others who have been receiving samples over the weekend.
Gashi said that based on priority, I The KSHPK tests those samples, adding that there are over 100 people in total waiting for the results over the next few days.
There are some 80 or 100 samples, but there are times still from Friday, Saturday and Sunday that are waiting for results to come up because tests are done based on priorities. But there are over 100 cases for which we are expecting results, including the 80 samples that have been taken today”, Gashi said of Telegrafi.
The Health Director has said that the condition of all infected is currently stable.
The “essentially all infected are in good condition. We have continued contact with them, we have 5 cases of treatment at the Infectious Clinic, while other cases are in their homes, in stable condition”, Gashi said.
Meanwhile, from February 08th to June 14, 2020, at the Medieval Microbiology Laboratory in IKSHPK with the RT- The PCR, a total of 18,512 suspected persons in the SARS-CoV-2 virus and a total of 1,486 cases, of which are 33 cases of death that have had other accompanying diseases.
In the IKSHPK over 24 hours, all contact and surveillance are being contacted and monitored, as well as contact contacts forcing them for self-isolation and seeking medical assistance if they have symptoms.
By contrast, the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo, given that in the past week there are increased positive cases in intensity compared to mid-April and that we have cases among workers of public and private organisations, such as Kosovo Post, KEK, KEDS, Art Gallery, banking, health institutions, agencies, commercial companies and private businesses has recommended that the Ministry of Health close sectors where there are positive cases and all their positive cases and contacts are kept in property, while MASCAVE's TAKE METET OBLIGATIVE!
“These days notice the increased flow of citizens' movement throughout Kosovo. This is dangerous behaviour and the ease of movement does not mean disrespecting the recommendations of the National Institute and the Ministry of Health with the keeping of physical distance and wearing masks in public places”, the IKSHPK report said.
