President Donald Trump made a rare trip from Washington on Tuesday to visit a mask manufacturing plant in Arizona, thus visiting a state he hopes to win in the November elections, while Americans are avoiding trips to fight the Coronavirus.
President Trump, a republic running for re-election, remained for weeks at the White House, while his administration oversees the response to the pandemic that has killed tens of thousands of people in the United States alone.
The president visited a production plant in Phoenix, industrial technology giant “Honeywell International”, which has been adapted to produce respiratory masks.
The federal government has encouraged Americans to wear masks to avoid spreading the virus even when they do not feel symptoms of COVID-19.
