France reported 135 deaths; Spain registered 164 deaths, which is the lowest figure since mid-March; the 174 victims registered in Italy are the lowest figure in the past two months; and Germany recorded the lowest increase in victims with 43 cases.
Meanwhile, a French doctor has confirmed that new sample tests by patients show that the virus was present in the country last year several weeks before the first officially registered case.
In Russia, the virus appears to be advancing, with 10,000 new infections. But the mortality rate in Russia remains low compared to other countries on Sunday recorded 58 deaths, bringing the total to 107.
The United Kingdom recorded 315 new deaths and has the third highest death toll after the US and Italy. British officials, however, say the explosion has reached a peak and the number of new admissions to the hospital is on the decline.
In general, the pandemic has seen some 3.5 million people infected, and some 250,000 people have died.
