Upwork requires June exam deadline held at faculties

Due to the David-19 pandemic, the education process has been suspended at Pristina University, and exams for April's extraordinary term have not been held.

But for the June deadline, it is scheduled for exams to be held online if academic staff and students cannot return to respective academic entities.

He said the University “hasan Pristina” would prefer the first version for academic staff and students to take exams in academic entities.

“The UPA would prefer the first version for us to return to our academic units and the exams to be physically held this is desirable by students and by us”, he said.

In addition, Bytyqi added that if the June deadline is not possible to organise in academic objects, then exams will be organised in digital form.

He said that according to the UPA regulation of the June 1st deadline exams begin on June 1st and end on June 30th, but due to the pandemic, it will be postponed until 20 July.

The “Provations start on June 1st under the regulation, but because of the pandemic this time we have left flexibility in academic entities, some in the first part of June will take some practice and laboratory exams. But exams should be completed by July 20th”, Bytyqi said.

The Ministry of Health's new decisions, which have entered into force since May 4, 2020, are envisioned in three stages.

The first phase from May 4th to May 18th, phase two from May 18th to June 1st.

Meanwhile, the third phase begins June 1st, where, among other things, the exams in higher education are scheduled to be held, with rules imposed on the epidemiological protocol.

Acting Education Minister Hykmete Bajrami's head of cabinet, Lulzim Krasniqi, told Gazeta Express that UPA has full autonomy as far as the issue of keeping the June deadline in academic entities or online format is concerned, and that Augusti does not intervene in this.
