A record number of Americans are expected to remain on the list of unemployed by autumn as a result of pandemic. As the country is located a few months before the presidential elections, the situation is in the hands of head of state Donald Trump.
America's unemployment is projected to rise over 20 percent in May and may remain at a two-story level by November.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, last month the US unemployment rate affected the value of 14.7 per cent, or 11 per cent above the one-year average.
The number of unemployed increased by 7 million, employees decreased by 22.4 million, as opposed to job participation, reaching the lowest values since the Great Depression of the 1930 ' s.
But White House adviser Kevin Haset said Sunday that the catastrophic consequences of pandemic in the economy still remain to be confirmed.
The turning point is expected to be marked in June, when unemployment is projected to reach its peak.
The trend will then come improving, but economic recovery will not be possible until the vaccine against the deadman is first found.
