Former European Parliament rapporteur for Kosovo Ulrike Lunacek has resigned from the post of Secretary of State for Culture and Arts in Austria.
Lunacek announced on Friday his resignation due to the criticism she had received in management of the Coronavirus situation, Klen Kosova conveyed.
It's not easy for me to make this decision, but I'm resigning from Secretary of State”'s office.
Despite that, however, she says she remains a political person.
” Although I quit my post: I am, and I remain a political person. I will continue to have the freedom to engage in debate. With that in mind, I wish you all the best”
Ulrike Lunacek began her political career in 1995, while in 1999 she became a member of the National Council, where she remained until 2009 when she moved to the European Parliament, where she was vice president.
Lunacek was also a rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament until 2017.
