Valeriy Davydenko, 47, was found dead by a janitor at his office in Kiev on Saturday, writes “Free Europe”, broadcast Express newspaper.
Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Anton Hercchenko said a comprehensive investigation into the case would be conducted. The police and prosecutors will control all possible versions of the” tragedy, he wrote on Facebook.
Zryan Shchiryak, an interior ministry official, said that according to preliminary investigations, it is believed the MP committed suicide.
Davydenko had participated as an independent candidate in the 2019 parliamentary elections and later joined the parliamentary group “Dovira.
From May 2013 to March 2014, he had served as deputy minister of agriculture.
