Even Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has remembered today the 21st anniversary of his murder, Fehmi Aganni.

On the 21st anniversary of the assassination, we remember with deep respect Professor Fehmi Agani, who was one of the key figures in Kosovo's independence political movement in the nine years. In all periods of his life, as intellectual, as author of books and writings, as politician and negotiator, Professor Agan has distinguished himself with great knowledge, wisdom from a deep thinker, and with the insistence of a native, that Kosovo Albanians gain their rights, including the supreme right to live free and to have the independent state”, Thaci writes on Facebook.

Thaci stresses that “I have had the destiny of getting to know him and of co-operating and being together as part of the Kosovo delegation at the Rambouillet Conference”.

His contribution to reaching the agreement, which later enabled the Atlantic Alliance's air campaign and the liberation of Kosovo, has been extraordinary. Professor Agan's calibre politicians and intellectuals are missing much today from politics in Kosovo”, Thaci concludes.
