Slovenian geopolitical professor: The EU was wrong with Borell and Lajcak, the Kosovo issue solves US

Analyst and Slovenian geopolitical professor Laris Gaiser says the European Union has made a mistake when selecting Josep Borelli at the helm of diplomacy and Miroslav Lajcan as emissar for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. According to him, both come from two states that do not recognise the independence of the Republic of Kosovo, and this proves [...]
With Lajcak's appointment as Special Representative as well as Borell's, the EU decided to shoot itself on both knees and bow before the United States of America. Both represent a political environment that opposes Kosovo's independence and it is impossible to expect Lajcak to be reliable and acceptable to Kosovo Albanians”, Gaiser has said of Kosovo Online, the newspaper Express.
Slovenian professor says these two appointments are only guarantees that already the United States of America will lead the process of dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
This only guarantees that Washington will take things into its own hands and that the current political crisis is evidence of all this”, he added.
Geopolitical Professor has further said that the current situation should be a lesson for Western Balkan countries to improve their relations, since according to him the EU is proving it does not exist as a political project but only as an economic organisation under Germany's directives. It is futile to expect any major political movement from a political dwarf”, Gaiser said among other things.
