A team of doctors from Serbia have asked Kosovo without preempting for entry as many of their colleagues have often entered the country these days of pandemic.
Police spokesman Bajram Krasniqi has confirmed to Klokosova.tv that the team of doctors has not been allowed to enter the Merdare border post after failing to meet the criteria Kosovo institutions ask for.
A team of doctors has not been allowed to enter because they have not had preliminary permission and have not met the criteria needed to enter Kosovo. But there are medical teams every day since the beginning of the pandemic. Those who meet the criteria pass without problems”.
But the failure to meet criteria by Serbian doctors has not taken into account the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, which has called their ban inhuman practice.
“Today, after several days of the irrational and hysterical campaign against Serbian health workers, Pristina made the unimaginable move, banning a group of 20 doctors and nurses from Serbia from entering Kosovo”, the office statement said.
Also, this office has asked the international community to take a stricter position on Kosovo.
