Senior test in July: It will be held in one day for all subjects

Education Minister Hykmete Bajrami said she has made the decision to hold the prom test in July, but in circumstances that suit the recommendations of the Public Health Institute.

She said the senior exam will be held within a day for all courses and for all seniors.

“Test will have a total of 100 requests (question, task), of 25 requests for each of the four subjects involved, and will last 150 minutes. The test will include three binding subjects (Albanian languages, English and mathematics) and an election subject (which is selected by student from among the electives to be offered)”.

The exam will be held in the first week of July, but the exact day has not yet been set.

The State Matura Commission (KSHM) of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation ( MASTI has carefully considered the concerns of various parties regarding the 2020 State Mathing, as well as conducted consultation with the National Public Health Institute of Kosovo (IKSHPK) about organising the senior exam in the pandemic circumstances.

The KSHM has also analysed legal obligations related to the prom exam, as well as major implications on the local plain and at the international level in case of failure to observe the senior exam. So, based on all of this, the meeting held on May 8, 2020, has decided the following:

1. The 2010 State Mathura test will be held in the first week of July 2020. For the exact day of testing will be decided the following days, after consultations with other institutions. Taking into account the pandemic situation, in consultation with the IKSHPK, the senior exam will be arranged in such a way that there are as few seniors within a testing centre and within the testing classes, so that all measures for protection and prevention of Covid 19. are implemented.
   2. The 2020 State Matura test will be held within a day for all subjects and for all seniors. The test will have a total of 100 requests (question, post), of 25 requirements for each of the four subjects involved, and will last 150 minutes. The test will include three binding subjects (Albanian languages, English and mathematics) and one election subject (which is selected by the student himself from among the elective materials to be offered).
   Within May, seniors will be informed in detail about all the important issues you might be interested in, such as the exact day and time of the prom exam, the deadline and the way of the prom exam, the list of elective subjects available for seniors (from which each senior can select an election test subject), etc.

After presenting the senior exam, all seniors submitted for the exam will be informed of their centre and testing class, the way and the rules of testing, etc.

Because it has already been decided that the 2020 State Framework Test will be held in the first week of July 2020, MASTTI reports High Education Institutions (IAL) in Kosovo, public and private, to plan to hold PPS for new students only after the results of the State 2020 Matura test have been announced. This means that admissional exams can nearly be held at the end of July or early August 2020, because after taking the senior exam, it takes a while to process results, investigate complaints, announce final results, and until students are equipped with high school diplomas.
