The chairman of the Commission for Legislation, Mandate, Imunite, the Parliament's Rule and the supervision of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Driton Selmanaj, said that at the meeting held by this commission they have reviewed Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani's request regarding Kosovo MP Etem Arifi's mandate.
Selmanaj said Osmani's request, although unfounded and contrary to regulations, has given an answer.
The request that in our opinion was unfounded, contrary to the regulation addressed to us by the Kosovo Parliament Speaker, to handle Kosovo MP Arifi's mandate to handle the mandate of a Kosovo MP, MP Etem Arifi. We as a commission do not consider parliamentary procedures the completed judicial issue, those are issues that with laws are clear”, he said.
“However we as a commission we gave a reply to the chairman even though we are not obliged. The answer was this: Respect the laws, respect the Constitution and act on the mandate you have<1>, Selmanaj said. /Periscope.
