On 18 May, the first concrete steps for the opening of cult objects will be taken since the early March closure under measures to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The date has been disclosed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who today had an online conversation with senior representatives of the Albanian clergy.

They have asked Prime Minister Edi Rama to open the cult objects, as they say it is already beginning Albania's gradual opening following measures against Ovid-19, the time has come to open even mosques, churches, links and other religious objects for believers.

Archbishop Anastas has indicated that the request comes with suggestions to avoid encounters between believers.

While the representative of the Muslim community in the country, Bujar Spahiu, has indicated that they have tabled this requirement to discuss the possibility of having some prayers done for believers.

Rama, on the other hand, has indicated that talks between religious representatives and the technical committee for Ovid 19 will begin today to receive suggestions of the gradual opening manner.

Rama has asked religious representatives to see how other countries are acting and then offer suggestions.

Our request is to have places of worship. Give us directions on this. Keeping distance as told and avoiding meetings and kisses or something. Places of worship give hope and should give people that opportunity. I repeat by respecting the rules that have been given so far. Clearly, these days religious communities have signaled accountability, and we are ready to continue. In solidarity with the country”, Chief Captain Anastas said.

Brad Spahiu: KMSH: I hope this situation will pass as soon as possible. As it is known in the gradual opening that the country is receiving in this context, we requested these meetings to be arranged for gradual opening of cult objects always by respecting regulations. To discuss this matter and the possibility that we will do some of the practice of prayer in the object of worship.

Rama: Thank you so much for what you've done. As for your concern, I join you that in the framework of measures to facilitate everyday interactions and life from step to step, we need to address the situation as well. To ease the major obstacles to the exercise of activity, but on the other hand, we need to be careful and do this gradually and not immediately. This requires a consultation with you that practices are different. Within a weekly calendar or monthly, you have practices that are not the same. I've requested that the working group that is made up of experts in the field and expert committee available. ”

In the case of religious communities, make arrangements by tonight or by tomorrow you are available to have contact with the people who draw up relief measures. So how can it be done gradually to normalize? I believe on May 18th, when the second stage project will be configured, we can also provide some concrete indicators for religious communities. We're starting today or tomorrow with someone of you.
