The chairman of the Association “America's Miks”, Agim Rexhepi, said the event is being marked to support firefighters, since state institutions do nothing to mark their day.

“Day has been the World Fire Department and seeing that Kosovo institutions did not do what it takes to do for these people, for these modern-day heroes. At the same time, I had congratulated Kosovo citizens on the day of the martyrs that today is pre-eminent... Let's sensationalize the issue of firefighters because these citizens or these professionals don't have the best conditions, as do doctors, military and police”, he said.

He also showed why they have decided to mark Fire Day in this way.

After a two-month period of changing the American flag in September, with this gesture we wanted to show both human and political messages to American citizens, American institutions that the people of Kosovo are your allies. We know what you've done not now, but during history you will have us allies no matter what individuals claim, or whoever will have us allies for life of the century”, he said.

While, Latif Zeka, chief of the Fire Brigades in Pristina, on their day has all firefighters, while thanking the American people for their continued support to the Albanian people.

“We welcome all American people for helping the Albanian people, especially the Kosovo people. I also wish Firefighters' Day across the world”, he said.
