U.S. Army Chief of Staff Mark Miley said today that it was not known whether the Coronavirus originated from a wet “treet” in China, from a laboratory or any other country, but confirmed the US position that the virus was not created by man.
Did he come from a lab in Wuhan? Is it from a wet market in Wuhan? Everywhere else? And the answer is: We don't know,” said the Pentagon chief at a press conference in Washington.
According to Reuters, this assessment of General Michael rejects Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's statement Sunday that there were “substantial” tests that the Coronobrus had emerged from a Chinese laboratory.
