Even though we are in the holy May of Ramadan, Kosovo mosques continue to be closed, as preventative measures of COIVD-19.
Kosovo's Islamic Community Secretary Ahmet Sadriu has said that, in co-ordination with health institutions, they will decide for their opening in the second phase starting on May 18th.
And he said, "The prayer of Bajram is expected to be forgiven in the mosques."
We continue to have our mosques closed. We have some warnings that in the second phase, movement begins to grow. And we expect the second stage since March 18th to allow us to return to our mosques. We also expect to forgive Bajram at the mosque. But it also depends on the state of pandemic. We're having pressure on the forgiveness of mosques from the Xhemat”, BIC Secretary Ahmet Sadriu said in a public television show.
Ahmeti, however, has said that they will not be quick to risk the health of citizens in any way.
