Microbiologist Lull Raka says Kosovo is on a good track to close the first phase of the choreography. The crisis according to him has been managed well, until it has called for continued respect for the IKPSHK and the MSH's councils.
I think we're on a good track to end this cycle of pandemic. The results of recent days have been expected because there has been release of measures, there has been greater circulation of people, and an increase has been expected. But this growth has been manageable. What has happened is that all the measures taken by health institutions and the fulfillment of these advice by Kosovo citizens have prevented Kosovo's health capacities from overloading with the cases of Covid-19, and this has been the main goal of measures that have been taken”, Raka tells RTV21.
The “Management has been efficient and I commend all levels of primary care, but not only the health care institutions, but also the citizens of Kosovo who have refrained most of the health ministry's advices and IKPSHKUE”, he added.
“Care must continue in the coming days, given that there are small numbers, because during this week we have seen a large influx of people across the streets of Kosovo in all cities and this should be done carefully”, he stressed.
Raka says the beach can be visited but carefully added.
The task of releasing measures will also be to open borders, but this will certainly be done in co-operation with the countries of the region and normal priorities that will be Albania. On vacation, I don't think there will be an influx of vacationers from Kosovo to Albania, Albania's authorities believe they will allow it because it is still early for such a massive influx. I understand the Kosovo population that wants everyone to go to ease, go a little bit to Albania, but I think that by summer season there has been a long way to go, since June, July, August”, Raka said.
Meanwhile, Raka says most experts in the world are convinced that in autumn we will face a wave of virus eyes.
For this, he says the country must be prepared and that time for this has enough time.
We have four months to prepare. First we'll be supplied with tests, then we'll have to respiratory, we'll increase the capacities for why not, we'll be supplied with personal protective equipment, because with the opening of specialist services, even at the initial stage there'll be a need for additional”, Raka says.
